My client, a well established banking & finance organisation are currently recruiting for an experienced IT Project manager to join them in their Midlands based office on a 3 month contract (With possibilities of extension). The ideal candidate will have experience within the financial services sector and can perform various duties within their role such as liaising with stakeholders and many other departments within the company.

The purpose of the role will be to define, plan, manage and deliver technology projects within agreed time, cost and quality parameters, delivering significant change for the benefit of the Bank and its customers.

Key Responsibilities:

*Business User Liaison
*Key Stakeholder Management and being able to liaise with external suppliers
*Develop Business Requirements and Technical Specs for Delivery and Management
*Understanding and Knowledge on MI in line with business objectives
*Being able to prioritise, schedule and monitor the quality of work produced from testing staff
*Maintain change control and system testing to ensure the correct tools and techniques are being used
*Manage the record keeping for controlling the risk of change control processes and reporting concerns or foreseeable risks that may arise.
*Ensure effective implementation/handovers to minimise disruption to the business whilst also maximising the business's operational functions and where appropriate, deploying training sessions
*Maintain industry knowledge of best practice and any other regulatory/legal requirements
*Support the core banking systems such as bug management and the release of BAU changes to core banking and any user issues that arise
*Deputise for the Head of department


*Operational knowledge of bank processes and key regulatory/legal issues
*Strong systems/IT skills such as Banking technology, payment systems and processes, telephony etc
*Strong numeracy/reporting skills
*Banking qualifications (Desirable)
*Project manager qualifications, Prince2 (Desirable)
*Strong leadership skills
