Project Manager - IT Changes - City of London - £43k - £49k Per Annum.

The Company
A public sector client based in the City of London, seeks an experienced Project Manager, ideally with some procurement experience and a background in IT.

The Role
This role is a fixed-term position until March 2021.
This position will be working on a significant change project which requires the post holder to bring their experience of similar technical projects and judgement on issues to achieve success.

The post-holder will be expected to show initiative and take ownership of their workload, bringing potential problems and recommended solutions to the attention of senior management. The post involves a high degree of discretion both in planning and delivering high quality products and services.

Responsibilities
* You will ensure the successful delivery the project, co-ordinating the planning and delivery of activities across technology and accommodation services and engaging with internal stakeholders.
* You will develop formal business cases for consideration by Executive Team and the Board to support decision making and evidence value for money
* You will develop and deliver a communications plan and supporting activities to influence key decision makers and gain buy in across all staff
* You will manage procurement activity using specialist knowledge of the sector to ensure value for money and best fit services are procured
* You will design robust and detailed plans including budget, supplier and risk management;
* You will manage the project plan, budget and risk management approach, working closely with subject matter experts to mitigate and make changes as required
* You will ensure project management and governance arrangements effectively managed and give confidence to stakeholders included reporting
* You will work with suppliers, ICT and Facilities colleagues to capture requirements, prerequisites and dependencies
* You will influence decision making at project board and Executive Team level to ensure successful outcomes

Experience Required
* Demonstrable evidence of ICT and/or Accommodation project management gained through professional qualifications or experience.
* Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification
* Experience delivering complex technical projects
* Experience of delivery of change project
* Experience of preparing and evaluating business cases which demonstrate value for money
* Ability to negotiate and liaise with stakeholders, ensuring effective service delivery and agreeing improvements to working practices
* Proven ability to manage projects involving a variety of stakeholders both internal and external and to deliver to time and budget
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to explain technical requirements and issues to staff
* Proven experience of negotiating and managing contracts with key stakeholders and suppliers
