Spring Recruitment are working with a leading packaging manufacturer based in Dundee
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Maintenance and Health & Safety Manager to closely support the production processes at the Dundee site. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the main duties and responsibilities are: -
Maintenance Duties
� Plan & coordinate any required scheduled periods of preventative maintenance activities
� Manage efficient response and repair to machine breakdowns
� Manage & implement external service support contracts relating to both production equipment and facilities
� Manage a small team of maintenance staff and perform supervisory responsibilities including performance reviews and disciplinary action.
� Ordering Engineering consumables and sourcing obsolete parts or alternatives
� Support and mentor staff, identifying development opportunities.
� Additional duties as required.
Health and Safety Duties
� Performing Risk Assessments.
� Compliance with regulatory requirements including LEV, Atmospheric, exposure, electrical etc)
� Insurance Inspections.
� New employee Inductions
� Accident investigation
� Additional duties as required.
Skills & Experience
� A proven background in a maintenance engineering discipline, preferably with experience in a managerial role gained in a manufacturing environment.
� A proven background in a health and safety role within a manufacturing environment. NEBOSH certified or equivalent accreditation is essential for this role.
� Competent IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) are essential.
� A proven ability in Leadership, motivation and development of small team
� Ability to correctly identify & resolve equipment issues with the use of a range of aids and techniques.
� Computer literate with a good knowledge of MS Office products
� Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
� Business aware, able to interpret and apply budgets
This position is permanent and full-time based on 36 hours per week (0830 - 1700 hrs Monday to Thursday, 0830 - 1330 hrs on Fridays).
