Role: IT Project Manager (Cloud)
Location: Birmingham or Nottingham (home working available)
Duration: 3 Months

Project Overview
Following the IT 'cloud first' strategy our to use more modern and secure IT hosting
environments the client wishes to vacate the remaining legacy data centre hosting environments. The requirement here is for a technical PM to lead and deliver the File Services users and data migration out of the legacy UTZ and into the cloud (i.e. using a NetApp CVO solution). This position will be responsible for managing the identification, analysis, validation, planning and execution (move/migration) of target systems, applications and data into the already in place cloud based solution.

Strong IT infrastructure project delivery experience are therefore essential to this role, along with persuasive user and supplier management skills. And a working knowledge of/with outsourced data centre hosting suppliers would be a distinct advantage. This role can be based at the UK (Birmingham or Nottingham) or German (Dusseldorf or Hannover) locations though under the current constraints of the Covid pandemic home working can be expected (this assumes a suitable home office provision already exists).

Responsibilities
Although primarily delivering the execution and migration of a specific project for this project will need to align with many inter-dependent and already running projects to achieve mutual objectives and success, and collaborative working across projects, businesses and organisations will be key to this role.

The initial scope for this project includes the existing file services such as applications, data, fileshares, etc and any external locations referencing this data and how it is accessed and/or passes through the Frankfurt DC environments. The scope is to be fully clarified in the resulting output of the pre-study analysis currently being conducted by the supplier.

The tasks include but are not limited to the following:
* Support the analysis and verification of the IT landscape and use of the identified systems, applications, data and/or services
* Follow the defined Uniper IT strategy, architecture, design and security standards
* Ensure the migration plan(s) are in place for the identified infrastructure, systems and services into the new hosting environment with the suppliers to achieve the target timescales
* Ensure suitable controls are put in place to manage the subscribed milestone deliverables
* Engage with the application and data owners, business units and users to develop and
communicate a migration plan, impact assessment, data moves (including network
considerations), user testing, etc to be able to achieve a successful sign-off for each data move
