Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Graduate Accountancy and Finance Manager to join their business, based in Hillington.

Candidates should hold a relevant accounting / finance degree or equivalent and will ideally have gained some accounting experience behind them (but this is not a deal breaker). Candidates will have gained 2:1 or higher in their university studies.

They are looking for an eager and self-starting individual, with first class communication skills and has the enthusiasm to grow within their business. From the get-go you will be given all the tools and training required to become a key part of their Finance Team.
Right from the start you will be working closely with their directors and managers of the business. You will be an integral part of the financial reporting in the business; thus, supporting future sales and the development of the company.

Main Job Role:

Managing Invoices: Process sales invoices and issue credit notes; Coding and processing service invoices; Dealing with customer requests for copy invoices.
Credit Control: Setting up new customer accounts, carrying out credit & reference checks; Setting up new supplier accounts; Managing monthly Plastic Tax credits for customers.
Managing Payments: Credit card reconciliations, coding & processing; Monthly Supplier / Customer payments; Daily Banking - posting all customer/ supplier payments to SAGE; Setting up and actioning monthly direct debit mandates; Monthly reconciliation of E-commerce payments.
Financial reporting: Producing, checking & sending monthly statements to customers / suppliers; Monthly sales reports; Monthly negative stock reports; Monthly debtor report.
Miscellaneous: Dealing with customer queries, POD requests and liaising with Business team with price queries; Quarterly VAT returns.
General Office Admin: Answer phones and reception to support the rest of the finance & business team where appropriate.

Ideal candidate will have:
Strong analytical skills; attentive to fine detail.
Ambition and willing to grow within the business.
Knowledge of MS Office and Excel experience is required.
Experience with Sage would be a benefit.
Minimum 2:1 degree in an accounting / finance subject is preferred.
