Junior Developer

Fabulous opportunity for a Junior C# .Net Developer to join a high profile FMCG company on a permanent basis.

Ideal candidates will have gained some commercial experience and have a keenness to further learn and develop.

The role is home based however you will have the opportunity to attend site once every week/fortnight.

Role Overview:

Our client has recently launched their own web shop for which you will be required to apply your skills and experience to further develop, maintain and provide support.

You will also have the opportunity to support a has a far wider scope as the client has a desire to maintain and develop other technology platforms, ensuring that they have the very best technology solutions possible to meet their growing needs and customer base.

This is a great opportunity for you to work along side the Senior Developer working through the full stack and learn new things every day.

Responsibilities:

As the Junior Developer you will:

Build new web shop features and enhance existing ones.
Get involved with Microservices projects that serve the shop.
Troubleshoot and solve general issues.
Write clear and concise code in a variety of languages, as required.
Assist with the review, planning, and scheduling of technical tasks.
Participate in key software design decisions.
Engage with colleagues across the business to understand their software needs.
Write both technical and end-user documentation.

Essential Experience/Knowledge
A proven track record of hands-on development in C# .Net and/or C#.Net Core.
Good working knowledge of design patterns such as MVC and MVVM.
An understanding of ORM frameworks such as Entity Framework / Entity Framework Core.
Experience of agile development methodologies (Scrum / Kanban / etc.)
Good working knowledge of SQL Server / T-SQL.
The ability to get involved in all areas of software development across the full SDLC
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good working knowledge of version control systems such as git.

Additional Skills/Experience (Desirable)
Front-end frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular.
TypeScript.
Software testing principles.
Provisioning Azure resources.
Azure CI/CD delivery pipelines.
Microservices design patterns.
