Test Lead

Day Rate - £500
Duration - 6 Months +
Location - Yeovil
IR35 - Outside

Must be SC Cleared or happy to go through it.

Main Responsibilities:

Statements that describe the main areas in which the role holder must produce results to achieve the purpose of the role. *Formulate / review software testing strategies
*Manage software testing resources (Recruit, train, allocate and monitor)
*Owns interactions and engagement with software and other technology vendors internal and external in order to document and report issues/bugs and test supplied fixes and resolutions in a timely and effective manner
*Review business / software requirements and provide inputs.
*Prepare / review test plans.
*Analyse test results and test metrics.
*Prepare / review / present test reports.
*Coordinate with other managers (Project Manager, Development Manager, etc) to ensure the highest level of software quality.
*Actively manage client relationships with appropriate communication
*Work closely with project managers, development teams and other stakeholders to manage risks and issues
*Define test strategy, test plan & test approach
*Provide effort estimations and track the test efforts to ensure adequate staffing
*Coordinate testing activities with client Test Managers on a daily/weekly basis as required
*Monitor and control testing activities against planned budget and quality gates
*Present a regular progress reporting to management and clients
*Perform defect management and reporting
*Provide support to clients for managing & tracking acceptance testing
*Assist customers in designing test cases for acceptance testing phases
*Analyze and document business requirements in close collaboration with clients and other stakeholders
*Design and plan the execution of stress and performances testing
*Design, update and execute technical, functional and business test scenarios and test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring their reusability
*Manage test environments (installation, baseline definition and maintenance, assessment on environment readiness)
*Manage tools for testing, tracking defects, statistics and requirements coverage reporting
*Document and evaluate the testing results, investigate testing deficiencies
*Contribute to continuous improvement of test management processes and procedures
*Identifying and coordinating interdependencies within the testing components schedule across the breath of the program
