The Role:

As a systems engineer you will be working with a team of 10 who will do the day to day administration of the companies servers, storage and client device administration. You will have the opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of different technologies whilst ensuring you use your methodical approach to ensure that vital monitoring is completed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for but not limited to work as part of a team to deal with complex issues escalated by the 1st and 2nd Line team:

*Performing daily checks on the companies systems by monitoring backups and alerts from the monitoring systems and performance alerts. You will be fully responsible for correcting these issues and seeking an effective resolution.
*Conduct your own research using the specialists support.
*The day to day administration of the company's servers, storage and client device administration.


Skills and Experience Required:


*Sound technical knowledge in Microsoft windows and server operating systems.
*Strong understand of the Windows Permissions Model including NTFS, ADDACLS + any knowledge f Linux and MacOS is useful.
*Experience within the management of datacentre hardware essential.
*Troubling shooting and replacing failed components as well as rack and stack of new hardware.
*Some knowledge and experience in basic network and troubleshooting.
*Experience and exposure to the System Centre suite of management tools which includes, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), Operations Manager (SCOM), Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM) and VMware VSphere for management of a VMware ESXi environment.
*A sound technical understanding of office365 backend services including SharePoint and Exchange. - Highly desirable.
*Experience writing PowerShell scripts.
*Delivering training to the 1st and 2nd line teams as well as writing clear documentation.


Benefits:

Salary of up to £35,000 - £45,000
