Project Delivery Analyst / Project Support Coordinator (Systems)

My market leading financial services client, know for being a great place to work, are looking for a passionate Project Delivery Analyst / Project Support Coordinator to join their Finance Systems Team at their head office in South Birmingham.

The Project Delivery Analyst / Project Support Coordinator will provide support across a portfolio of system change deliveries and maintain suitable delivery governance and controls, in line with group standards, defined governance and consistent with project methodology.

Key responsibilities will be;
*To facilitate and support project planning, including development of robust project plans, identification of key milestones, dependencies.
*Support the identification and monitoring of risks ensuring standards are adopted for their effective management, as well as challenging accuracy and completeness.
*Operate an effective issue management strategy ensuring all issues are captured, recorded and regularly updated, as well as resolution activities in place.
*Maintain forecast Vs actual delivery plans to provide meaningful MI to support on-going estimation process.
*Set up and maintain appropriate Documentation/Configuration Management systems following the necessary framework standards.
*To ensure that the tickets in the service management tool are updated accurately and in a timely manner to support the service delivery process for systems releases.
*Coordination of delivery related activities such as organising Releases Steering/progress meetings and other related events. Also, collation of meeting material, the recording and writing of minutes, action plans, maintaining records and circulating project information as necessary.

Key skills and experience required;
*Excellent understanding of project management disciplines, having worked with them previously.
*Knowledge of governance, controls and reporting mechanisms.
*Knowledge of planning principles (high level vs detailed, WBS, critical path, scheduling).
*Understanding of financial management of project costs including tracking and reporting.
*Ability to successfully support complex projects.
*Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure and to be flexible in working practices to align appropriately to the requirements of the specific project/programme.
*Relationship building skills and stakeholder management up to Steering Group level.
*Technical competence in computer skills, particularly MS Office and MS Project, ServiceNow (or similar) experience would also be desirable.
*Project Management accreditation such as Prince2 or APMP is desirable.
