A growing charity which specialises in food aid and education across the world is looking for a Marketing and Communications Manager to create and use digital content in order to reach new audiences and broaden the reach of the charity. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and managing the creative marketing activities of the charity This will include creating innovative content and the management of the charity's social platforms and website with news, events and downloadable content for users.

Marketing and Communications Manager - Key accountabilities

*Working with the Head of Digital Marketing to build a sustainable social media strategy
*Online campaigns to raise awareness of the charity's work
*Responsibility for all social Media accounts
*Tone of voice for the charity. Writing creative copy for social media, email, videos blogs
*Work with external suppliers such as designers, printers and media buyers to pull together integrated marketing campaigns
*Work with digital colleagues to forecast and implement the annual advertising budget, ensuring maximum value for money and return on investment

Marketing and Communications Manager - Skills/ Knowledge/ Expertise


*Minimum 3-year experience in a Marketing or communications role ideally as a manager
*Excellent IT skills
*Creative and innovative individual who keeps on top of the latest marketing trends
*Understanding of email marketing systems and social media tools e.g. Mailchimp, Hootsuite, Campaign Monitor
*Proven ability to effectively write content for different audiences
*Attention to detail
*Ability to work with 3rd parties


*Strong interpersonal, planning, time management, administrative and organisational skills
*Good presentation skills
*Photography and editing skills (or a willingness to be trained up on these)
*Familiarity of the not for profit sector
Marketing and Communications Manager - Personal Attributes
*Confident communicator who is perceptive to understanding needs/requests and able to action and prioritise these
*Ability to work as a team player as well as autonomously
*Proactive, with a 'can do' attitude, and ability to seize opportunities that are presented

Partial remote work is a possibility for the right person so long as you can work autonomously and get into the office at least once a week.
