Working as part an Engineering Team, under the leadership of the Senior Manufacturing Engineer, the Manufacturing Engineers will work to continually improve the manufacturing processes playing a key role in the ongoing development and the quality of our product.
Working closely with the product design team to apply assembly process, to ensure products can be manufactured to high standards of quality compliance.

Principal Accountabilities:

*Demonstrate strict adherence and compliance with our defined Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) policies and procedures.
*Creating & maintaining the technical package which clearly defines the manufacturing process and how to control it effectively.
*Identify and Implement lean manufacturing methods where appropriate including station layouts, visual management, production readiness documentation being mindful of audience.
*Ensure impact to change is introduced in a smooth manner, communicating change, its impact and how the line balance / manning levels need to be adjusted as a consequence to maintain takt.
*Developing continuous improvement projects which deliver improvements to health & safety, quality, cost, delivery rate and lead time performance.
*Focus on two key strengths, one area of excellence and one area of training per year to ensure over a FYP skills are enhanced and full team engagement and enrichment of skills are achieved.
*Demonstrate implementation of Design for Manufacturing and Design for assembly techniques.
*Demonstrate knowledge of Plan for every part validation
*Implement visual mapping and one piece flow adherence
*Demonstrate exploded work instruction capability using cad packages
*Technical problem-solving ability to regularly improve manufacturing processes.
*Managing work using best practice programme management techniques.
*Acquisition and installing of new and existing equipment.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills:

*BSc/BEng/HND/HNC in Manufacturing or Production Engineering.
*Lean Six Sigma would be advantageous.

Knowledge and Experience

*Background in Manufacturing or Production Engineering (min 3 years).
*Experience of working on new product introduction projects and coordinating new part placement.
*Knowledge of creating and transforming assembly operations, start-up environment and developing new capabilities.
*8D problem solving
*Line balancing techniques, identify VA/NVA/VE for Continuous Improvement
*Demonstrable knowledge of compliance in the house building industry
*Design for manufacture & assembly background
*Ability to solve complex technical issues and create innovative solutions.
*Project Management experience is highly desirable.


*Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across all functions, in particular Health & Safety, Quality, Design and Assembly.
*Collaborative mindset with ability to influence cross functionally.
*An instinct to drive business performance - a natural ability to challenge perceived wisdom and drive towards solution-oriented action.
*Decisive while working at pace, thoughtful about problem solving.
*Task completer not just an initiator
*CAD experience (2D & 3D) including layouts of factory floor highly desirable.
