IT Service Manager

My nationally recognised client is looking for a passionate and experienced IT Service Manager to join their growing ICT team their head office in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.

The successful candidate will perform Service Management duties in accordance with the ICT strategy, policy and procedures ensuring the provision of appropriate services for the company.

Key Responsibilities:
*Provide effective Service, stakeholder and supplier management in support of the ICT Services.
*Assist in the design, implementation, management and support of the Service Management regime, aligned to ITIL principles, as required to meet the required business and strategic objectives.
*To proactively support the business and IT user community, ensuring that ICT services are appropriate and support the business objectives.
*To proactively work with the senior managers and IT teams to ensure an appropriate and effective Service Management regime is in place and maintained.
*Ensure that the risks of system changes and releases are managed effectively and appropriately to ensure availability, integrity and confidentiality are protected whilst maximising the benefit to the business.
*Be responsible for proactively working with the Service Desk team to develop, implement and manage the function - providing first time fix capability, ensuring suitable materials, training and support are in place to deliver an effective service.
*Proactively seek out opportunities to deliver ICT efficiency savings and reduce delivery costs year on year through appropriate service management.
*Ensure an appropriate level of software licensing is maintained. Ensure that the company is able to demonstrate compliance, if required - using reporting to present an up-to-date position.
*Manage contract placement, management and renewal of third party contracts for ICT services.
*Work with Procurement to ensure that the optimum solutions are provided by the selected contractors and that the contracts are compliant with any relevant legislation.

Skills and Experience required:
*Experienced Service Manager, adept at decision making with strong problem solving ability.
*Thorough knowledge of Service Management processes and tools.
*Solid report writing skills.
*Good personal organisation skills, ability to work to tight deadlines and managing multiple several on-going tasks simultaneously.
*Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
*Extensive experience of delivering to and managing contracts and SLAs.
*You will also ideally be ITIL certified.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well known, established organisation during an exciting period of transformation. The salary is £30,000 - £35,000 plus in unrivalled benefits package.
