Hosted Environment Technician

My client, a highly successful and rapidly growing software company are looking for a passionate and experienced Hosted Environment Technician to join the team at their Leamington Spa offices.

The Hosted Environment Technician will be responsible for the support and continuous improvement of cloud platforms, which run their business-critical customer facing applications.

Working within the Hosting Team, you will be responsible for day to day management and full support of the cloud based infrastructure. There is also the requirement to plan, develop and introduce changes in order to support future development of services.

Applicants will need to have a solid experience in cloud infrastructure (AWS / Azure) including resource provisioning and network management.

Key Responsibilities:
*Maintenance and monitoring of infrastructure assets on our cloud platforms.
*Proactively monitoring cloud environments ensuring system availability and performance. Troubleshooting issues as they arise and automating resolutions where possible
*Managing backup and disaster recovery processes and tasks
*Configuration, administration, installation and upgrading of cloud infrastructure, firewalls, databases, malware protection software, products, and services.
*Strong communication skills with modern cloud technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
*Documentation of processes where required and technical support for both Cloud service and server OS issues
*Problem management and implementation of automation where possible
*Identify performance bottlenecks and implement remedies
*Managing scaling for MongoDB databases Clusters and credits (Atlas)

Key Skills and Experience required:
*Experience working in a client facing environment.
*Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written formats.
*Ability to produce detailed system documentation and guides for other teams.
*Solid understanding of fundamental server administration and networking technologies
*Proven experience in cloud infrastructure including some of: EC2, Beanstalk, Route 53, ElastiCache, S3, CloudFront, Lambda
*Proven experience with working with monitoring applications such as: Dynatrace, Sentry, Firebase, Atlas (MongoDB)
