Head of Solutions Delivery

Spring are working in partnership with one of the largest and most respected organisations in Sheffield to recruit a Head of Solutions Delivery.
The Job
You will be collaborating within the IT management team to deliver departmental objectives and managing the performance and development of staff as well.

The Responsibilities:
*Be the overall owner of the application estate and BI toolset
*Ensure all systems are updated, correctly administered and performance effectively
*Identifying and ensuring compliance with software licenses required for technical infrastructure
*Leading, motivating and managing staff performance within IT, whilst identifying developmental needs
*Provide early warning of emerging issues and troubleshooting and/or escalate issues to ensure delivery within the allocated budges and contracted timescales.
*Contribute to business cases and proposals for collaboration and development
*Attend regular meetings with various departments to communicate technical issues and to report progress of projects
*Liaising with suppliers to understand product upgrade requirements
*To encourage and drive innovation and the exploration of new technologies
*Manage senior stakeholders relationships
*Acting as the process owner for relevant ITIL processes. Ensuring these are fit for purpose, effective and efficient according to customer requirements
*Ensuring systems are secure and protected from unauthorised access
*Ensuring service quality and value for money is provided, and SLAs are achieved and client expectations are met.

The Requirements
*Experienced of managing technical teams specialising in database management and administration especially with:
* Oracle and MS SQL
*Oracle BI/Microsoft Power BI
*Excellent understanding of IT systems lifecycle including requirements capture, specification, evaluation and implementation
*Understanding Agile development techniques
*Ability to manage major incidents with a calm and confident approach whilst providing clear direction to staff
*Previous experience of a technical environment in a supervisory/management capacity
