My client is a leading British automotive services company headquartered in in in the midlands . Its principal services are roadside assistance and general insurance. Due to growth they are recruiting a Head of IT Vendor and Supplier Management.

Role Purpose:

Overall responsibility for commercial management of suppliers across the end to end Technology landscape. The role holder will be responsible for developing and managing relationships with those vendors who supply products and services to RAC, and ensuring that those vendors meet or exceed key partner performance metrics/contractual obligations. They will lead on the development and implementation of a performant strategic vendor management capability within RAC ensuring vendors provide flexibility, value for money, agility and responsive ways of working to the business.

*Take ownership and accountability of the Vendor and Supplier Management strategy and team, develop the shape, capacity and capability of the team to support and deliver against Technology's strategic and operational objectives
*Develop, own and evolve the strategic vendor and supplier management principles to be used in driving and assisting in Governance and decision making
*Lead and manage the communication strategy with vendors to facilitate understanding and awareness of organisational strategic direction, changes and challenges
*Manage the strategic interaction between vendors and internal program delivery leads to provide adequate visibility of interdependent initiatives and programs
*Support team to work with Business Partners and Change Delivery leads to ensure alignment to the demand and capacity plans to support project delivery
*Take ownership of generating and improving vendor status analysis and reporting and managing KPI's and dashboards across the vendor landscape
*Own and manage the view of the Vendor landscape and associated contracts to inform appropriate and timely engagement in the contract management lifecycle

-Proven track record in a multi-disciplinary IT environment in a fast paced business
* Strong commercial acumen including demonstrable external contract or vendor management experience, contract negotiation, experience in outsourcing, managed service or Cloud environments and in associated operational processes
* Extensive experience in using KPIs/SLA's and other measures to drive vendor performance
* Understanding and experience of how to develop and manage strategic partnerships
