Are you looking for an excellent opportunity as a Finance Systems Analyst? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Systems Analyst that would be responsible for the setup, administration, and effective operation of internal finance systems with strong communication looking to work for a highly reputable insurance firm starting ASAP, paying up to £40,000 per annum!

The Data & Financial systems analyst is responsible for the setup, administration, and effective operation of all the financial systems. Working in collaboration with the finance, IT and systems development teams, the focus will be primarily to deliver high calibre system reports, support analysis of data, help maintain live systems and ensure business needs are met.

Financial systems analyst Responsibilities:

Offer advice on process improvements, best practices, and technical solutions to meet business needs.
Supporting the finance team in the day to day use of systems and reporting, including but not limited to data feeds from other systems and bespoke reporting.
Maintaining code lists in financial applications and in-house databases (pipelines, GL codes etc.).
Construct payment file processes and payment file templates using in-house applications.
Addressing any new/bespoke requests from clients relating to payment files within standard operating procedures of the company.
Managing and controlling new customer set ups in Finance system (i.e., Access Dimensions).
Being the central point of contact for the financial processing department along with other areas of finance for technical queries.
Constructing sales export invoice support for new customers.
Testing Access Dimensions, every time a change is implemented.
Testing Dimensions up-loader and Transaction Broker.
Updating end-user documentation as required and ensuring that user training needs are met.
Ensuring system and application up-time is maximised during business hours.
Responsible for troubleshooting incidents and managing support requests through Finance IT ticketing system.
Developing relationship with Access support while maintaining ownership of all incidents including those escalated to Access support.

Experience/Qualifications
Understanding of accounting ledgers.
Understanding of management accounting and statutory reporting principles.
Understanding of SQL servers, Web servers and SQL scripting.
Experience with systems analysis and troubleshooting.
Experience working at a similar level in financial or business analyst capacity.
Proficiency in wide range of ERP systems and finance software.
Must be at advanced level in Microsoft Excel.
Maths, Computer degree or equivalent.
Part AAT, ACCA or ACA qualification, will be advantageous.
Access Dimensions and aCould experience beneficial.
