On behalf of our client we have an excellent opening for a Finance Business Partner to join their organisation based in Inverclyde.

Ideal candidate will hold relevant degree and be Chartered however consideration will be give to candidates working towards Chartered status.

This is an excellent opportunity to work for a prestigious organisation as part of their UK Finance team, reporting directly to the Financial Controller.

As a Business Partner your responsibilities will combine period end work with providing support and analysis to the site's operational teams.

The role will offer a variety of scope for engagement and further development with asks and responsibilities rotated within the UK Finance team on a regular basis so you will gain and eventually leverage an understanding of all aspects of the business and the role of finance within it.

In any given financial period you should expect to undertake the majority of the following tasks:

Statutory, general ledger and taxation accounting
Completion of the period end close process
Provision of inputs and insights into the monthly forecasting process
Project and investment appraisal
Preparation of analysis and reports to support operational decision making, with a focus on
cost control
Provide continuous financial insight to the business through participating in operational meetings
Ad hoc projects as directed by the Finance Manager

Candidate Required Capabilities:

Ability to prioritize and manage several tasks and projects at the same time
Ability to gain the confidence and trust of internal customers and manage expectations effectively
Analytical and decision-making skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to build and maintain solid working relationships within their team and with their customer departments
Ability to integrate and work positively within a cross functional team environment
Self confidence
Genuine interest in both gaining knowledge manufacturing business and developing others through a willingness to share experience and knowledge
Good to excellent Excel skills
