Windows Deployment Engineer

Location - Leeds
Rate - £200
Duration - 5 months +
IR35 - Outside

* Installation of Windows 7 and 10 onto PCs and laptops using standard imaging software.
* Troubleshooting and support of Windows, Linux and Apple client devices.
* Backup and restoration of user profile data and hard drives to minimise risk of data loss during upgrade.
* Installation of application software as identified by the target user.
* Removal and replacement of hard disks within PCs to facilitate upgrade.
* Use remote control tools in adherence to our clients policies.
* Work to a set schedule of appointments as part of a team that shares workload pro-actively and adaptively in response to unforeseen events.
* Adhere to defined upgrade processes to ensure consistency of approach.
* Transfer PCs/ laptops safely between offices in adherence to health and safety manual handling guidelines.
* Methodically keep project and ticket documentation up to date including engineer's worksheets, project control documents, issues lists and departmental inventories.
* Communicate processes effectively and clearly to all users from a wide range of backgrounds and IT literacy.
* Contribute to maintaining a tidy and efficiently organised office that promotes the tracking of paperwork and PC and laptop hardware.
*Ensure compliance with our clients Health and Safety Policy, local arrangements and relevant legislation
