Hourly Rate: Negotiable DOE

This Commercial Manager position is a non-management role that will directly support Information Services execution of the Future Logistics Information Services contract. This is a 12-month contractor role based in Bristol.

The two roles are slightly different in the background they require:
****The one position is looking for someone with a National Security & Defence Services background and the other a Fixed Wing background****

Reporting to the Head of Commercial in the Defence business unit, this role will provide commercial support for the contract management and execution of the programme. This role requires building effective relationships with UK internal functions and the UK MoD customer to support, advise and guide in the team discharging its obligations under the contract and delivering change proposals for key strategic work streams of the overall programme.

Particular areas of focus are:
o Excellent customer relationship management
o Contract management including interpretation of contractual terms and positions
o First-time quality
o Fast and effective responsiveness to emerging needs and requirements
o Integrated business partnering with stakeholders
o Ability to manage a diverse, fast-paced workload

This position is expected to fulfil a variety of tasks and responsibilities typically associated with a Commercial technical role, including, but not limited to:

o Exercises actions consistent with appropriate signature authority (although as a Contractor will not hold signature authority) , leads, and participates in proposal development, negotiating and contracting for the sale and support of aerospace products, services, technologies, financing and the licensing of intellectual property to support company strategies
o Leads the presentation and development of complex business solutions to preserve and expand the business
o Represents the company in external negotiations with responsibility to develop and maintain effective working relationships with customer counterparts
o Supports / leads coordination and partnership with other internal functional disciplines, integrating business / finance / programme priorities to create solutions that balance business financial performance and customer relationship management
o Summarizes complex contractual issues, and leads development of creative solutions and coordination of contractual risk mitigation.
o Interprets contract requirements, manages change and resolves conflict; intellectual property management
