An exciting opportunity has become available, working for a well-known police force based in Gloucestershire. They are looking for someone to join their team as a Business Analyst. This is a new opportunity giving you the chance to grow and develop within an established organisation with a lot to learn.
This is a flexible and agile workforce. However, you must be capable of doing any aspect of the role. In addition, the post holder will be required from time to time to contribute to Organisational Objectives which may not be directly related to this role profile. The Constabulary operates a rigorous vetting policy and applicants and employees must be aware that personal vetting will be applied as part of their recruitment and ongoing employment with the Constabulary.

Main responsibilities include…
*Conduct data gathering and analysis to understand business and strategic requirements and map these to current and future processes
*Contribute to business case development through measuring and analysing the cost of business processes
*Contribute to problem solving activity through supporting the investigation and analysis of potential root causes
*Work with functional leads to transform and develop requirements into design through to implementation planning
*Support the procurement of solutions provided by 3rd parties through the development of functional specifications as
*appropriate ensuring that new processes and practices are documented in an appropriate manner
*Analyse operations to understand strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities for improvements and efficiency gains
*Conduct feasibility studies and draft proposals for evaluation by appropriate users and managers
*Design and monitor testing process to ensure that business results are adequately tested following implementation of new processes or practices
*Design mechanisms to baseline and monitor business benefits contributing to business cases and benefits realisation plans
*Present to both small and large audiences' new processes to obtain business sign of

Required experience and qualifications…
*Educated to degree level or equivalent work experience at a senior level
*Extensive experience of mapping 'as is' business and technological processes and developing and documenting these to the 'to be' business process
*Experience assessing and gathering the business requirements for allocated projects, producing documentation in a recognised format that is fit for the purpose for both facilitating effective business sign off and also for technical use by IT development teams
*Experience of stakeholder engagement
*Experience of providing, receiving, conveying and presenting highly complex, sensitive and/or contentious information to large groups
