£35,000 - £37,000 + perm benefits

A leading organisation based in Birmingham is currently recruiting for a BI Developer to work with and support existing developers in the team and analysts across the business. As the BI Developer you will be expected to work closely with internal stakeholders to develop and analyse business intelligence needs. With the requirements gained you will turn them into insightful analytics to support the overall business. The BI Developer will be experienced in PowerBI and the Microsoft SQL Server stack.


Experience
*Develop and deliver a high standard of robust BI and insight to the business
*Develop and enhance existing BI within the business
*Automate and enhance existing manual reporting
*Support other developers and business analysts to work consistently and to a high standard
*Develop and implement a high standard of robust BI and Insight to the business
*Collaborate and cooperate with departmental analysts
*Provide end-user training where required
*Be capable of working across teams and with varied levels of seniority
*Be capable of delivering under pressure, to agreed timescales
*Test thoroughly
*Have enthusiasm for new and emerging technologies
*Develop pro-active and predictive analytics
*Contribute to, and maintain the data dictionary
*Control access, distribution lists, permissions, and privileges
*Understand the concept of data protection and adhere to GDPR guidelines

Skills
*Skilled and experienced in developing using SQL Server databases
*Skilled in PowerBI
*Skilled in Tableau
*Skilled in SSRS
*Skilled in Tabular SSAS
*Familiar with security approaches and implementation
*Strong focus on BI development
*Able to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
*Familiar with data manipulation languages
*Understanding the concept and principles of data warehouse design, and their application
