On Behalf of our client a Global audio visual solutions company , Spring Recruitment are looking for a Customer service Engineer. This is a very exciting opportunity to join an exciting and innovative company supporting over 100 European Partners. This company supports major events across Europe including the Cannes Film Festival. You will also be given the opportunity to travel to California for training.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide field based product repair, maintenance, and installation services. 80% of activities will be performed on site throughout the EMEA region, based in the South of England . You will report to the Field Service Operations Manager.

Diagnosing and resolving technical issues and repairing and/or updating digital projectors, systems components and software still under factory warranty or under service contracts in a timely manner either on-site or through remote technical support. ● Performing timely and effective service activities on customer sites within designated market, meeting or exceeding customer expectations for efficient system operation. ● Performing preventative scheduled maintenance to ensure optimum operation and a minimum of down time of OSA, Interactive media systems system and Digital Cinema projectors and systems. ● Increasing end user ability to effectively operate and maintain the system through on-site technical training relating to the operation of OSA system and related digital equipment. ● Setting up and supporting live events/screening for Digital Cinema in accordance with established standards and regulations ● Coordinating equipment repairs and maintenance, accurately allowing sufficient time for transit and testing

Perform emergency service at the client's locations as needed to ensure the full functionality of OSA system, Interactive media systems, related equipment and Digital Cinema projectors, non cinema projectors and systems. ● Operate and Test 2 Technology Platforms ● Carry out main line module replacement 2 Technology Platforms ● Complete installations, repairs and advanced service procedures on >2 product platforms, including reactive and proactive maintenance and decommissioning with minimal or no supervision. Frequently travel to customer sites on short notice. ● Compile detailed lists of equipment while on site. ● Diagnose and repair complex technical problems as well as research complex customer issues to ensure timely resolution of Tier 2 issues on >2 product platforms. ● Keep customers informed of progress and escalate issues where appropriate. ● Provide service feedback through site reports to report issues to the marketing, engineering and production departments for future planning and product updates. 3 ● Train end users in the proper use and operation of OSA system and related digital equipment. ● Assist with pre-show and pre-demo set up and build to support ongoing trade-show and demo activities. ● Maintain knowledge and familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. ● Leverage experience and judgement to assist the Customer Service Team on all technical work relating to field service applications. ● Develop and maintain good customer relationships. ● Assist the FAE (Field Application Engineer), CSE (Customer Service Engineer) or third party service companies in service and maintenance of brand and related equipment as necessary. ● Perform visual inspection of returned goods. ● Refurbish >2 product groups to spec.

You should be Educated to degree standard BS/BA in a technical field (Electrical or Software) (or equivalent technical experience)….and have related work experience in customer service engineering roles.
You should be experienced in Comprehensive report writing ● Understanding of customer requirements and relationships ● Knowledge of projector technology to include necessary tools, software and optics ● Ability to set up projectors in the field ● Ability to diagnose and repair complex technical problems independently ● Problem solving ● Diagnostic skills ● Troubleshooting ● Decision Making ● Self-motivated and self-directed - able to work independently 6 ● Excellent time management and organizational skills ● Team Skills ● Strong communication, Presentation/Teaching skills, ● Ability to provide on call support when necessary. ● Customer Focused ● A strong working knowledge of PC hardware, setup and repair.

Must have extensive knowledge of AV projectors to be considered
