Our client, an industry leading aerospace and defence outfit, are currently searching for an Airworthiness Management Assistant Lead Engineer to join their team on a contact basis.

Role: Airworthiness Management Assistant Lead Engineer
Location: Birmingham (some remote working)
Assignment Duration: Initially 6 Months
Additional Clearances: SC Required from Day 1

Job Description:
We are looking for continuing airworthiness management engineering expertise to assist the Aircraft Programmes Part M approved organisation.

As part of the delivery of the UK MOD Wedgetail AEW Mk 1 acquisition contract the role will be part of the Military Aviation Authority (MAA) Regulatory Publication (MRP) - Part M Mil CAMO required to provide MRP-compliant support

Responsibilities:
* Executing and improving communication and alignment between the Boeing MRP Part 21J Design Organisation and Boeing-contracted MRP Part 145 AMO for continuing airworthiness management requirements on a day to day basis.
* Leading improvement activity to deliver Wedegtail AEW Mk 1 Acquisition Contract satisfaction and regulatory compliance.
* Supporting the on-site Mil CAM in the day to day running the BDUK AP Mil CAMO activity based at Birmingham International Airport.
* Coordinating and executing the development and maintenance of the BDUK Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition (CAME) and associated Interface Control Documents with the Customer, Boeing Accountable Manager (Military Flying), Boeing MRP Part 21J Design.
* Developing and executing the implementation of Continuing Airworthiness Management metrics and appropriate dashboard to assist day to day management, performance monitoring and drive continuous improvement opportunities for the BDUK AP Mil CAMO as they emerge.

Required Qualifications (Experience/Education/Skills):
* Experience in the application of MAA Regulations and UK MoD airworthiness policies, processes and culture in an aircraft operations environment.
* A knowledge of MRP Part M requirements & procedures.
* A knowledge of MRP Part 145 requirements & procedures.
* An understanding of Accountable Manager (Military Flying) requirements and procedures
