As an Account Manager at GFS you will lead the continuous development and retention of customers within your portfolio in the Midlands area.

You are self-reliant and self-motivated, with exceptional customer engagement skills and a passion for helping customers achieve growth. A clear focus on account development using a solution-oriented approach will ensure your success in the role.

GFS are a leading logistics solutions provider in the eCommerce industry offering customers the opportunity to grow their business through technology based logistics solutions.

This is a field based role and you should experience of account management and/or sales in the logistics or parcels industry.

Main areas of responsibility

Account Management
*Ensure strategic management of customer relationships driving the highest possible level of service to protect customer relationships and to identify development opportunities
*Understand customer IT and despatch infrastructure in order to mould GFS solutions to support appropriately
*Handling of customer escalations
*Monitor customer performance, loyalty and satisfaction to measure success, business fluctuation and possible business at risk
*Liaise with Sales and Customer Services in order to ensure the most robust operational service to GFS customers

Account Development
*Identify new opportunities within existing customers and to progress these opportunities
*Maximise revenue and margin for GFS
*To maintain a watching brief on all GFS competitors in order to identify potential new services and products
*To develop a detailed understanding of the services and products offered by all GFS carrier partners

Experience and Skills

*Experience of sales and/or account management in a consultative selling environment within the logistics or parcels industry
*Business and commercial acumen
*Proven success in account management
*Proven success in management of new and existing relationships
*Self-motivated, ambition to succeed
*Ability to communicate at all levels
*Problem solving
*Decision making
*Planning and organisation skills
